Message From Teresa Courtemanche

We want to give a HUGE shoutout to ALL of YOU, for making Saturday September 16th, A most Memorable day. We recognize that several things did not go as expected.

The already paid for bounce houses, inflatable slides, and mechanical Bull ride, did NOT show! But thank you to our beautiful friend, Vernalisa, who came through with a last-minute bounce house request❤️ You’re Awesome! Despite, the things that didn’t go as planned, the day was an amazing success! The beautiful cars, RC cars, bikes, musical artists, dancers, DJ, all participating restaurants, vendors, donors, miniature horses, tattoo artists, and especially to all of the countless volunteers, who made this beautiful day happen! THANK YOU!!!

Thank you ALL for making this 15 year Anniversary of Matt’s memory such a powerful day with love and respect. We are looking forward to next year and making even more monumental memories.

Fairfield Peloton Bike Drive

Hi everyone, my name is Jacob Hirsch. For Christmas, Fairfield Peloton Cycle Club is teaming up with the Matt Garcia Foundation to raise money and purchase brand new bicycles for underprivileged children in Fairfield/Suisun.

This fundraiser is close to our hearts because we believe that every child deserves the chance to experience the joy of owning a bike. My job at Chevron in Richmond C.A. offers a charity match dollar for dollar up to $10,000 we may not get there but nothing is going to stop us from trying. Let it Rip...

Car Show Success!

The recent car show held in Fairfield was an astounding success, leaving participants and attendees in awe of the incredible display of automobiles. Notably, car enthusiasts were thrilled to have such a remarkable event take place in their own backyard, as car shows are a rarity in Fairfield. The enthusiasm and passion exhibited by the attendees were truly infectious, fueling a shared excitement for what future shows might bring.

The overwhelming response from car clubs and individuals who participated in the show speaks volumes about the impact it had on the community. The sense of camaraderie and connection that was cultivated during the event was palpable, leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved. It was an opportunity for like-minded individuals to come together, exchange stories and anecdotes, and celebrate their shared love for cars.

Given the resounding success of this year’s show, it is clear that there is a thriving interest in continuing this tradition. By harnessing the momentum and engaging more people in the planning and execution of future car shows, we have the potential to create an even more impressive and unforgettable experience. There is no doubt that the strength of the community, combined with the passion for cars, can transform this annual event into an iconic affair for Fairfield and its surrounding areas.

The immense support and feedback received from participants and attendees alike have provided valuable insights into what makes a car show truly exceptional. It is this collective input that will guide the growth and development of future shows, ensuring that they continue to captivate audiences and foster a sense of pride and unity in the community.

Let’s seize the opportunity to build upon the success of this year’s car show and keep the dream alive. Together, with the continued dedication and involvement of car enthusiasts and the wider community, we can create a legacy that will endure for years to come.

Grief

As I started to wake up this morning, I was over-taken by grief. My heart hurts so intensely.

I grieve for the innocent babies, children, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and families, as they are watching, in horror, as their lives are taken in the most heinous and brutal ways.

I can't help but think about our own lives and the lives of our loved ones who have been murdered. I can't help but be reminded of the times, that I felt that, those who committed these crimes against "MY FAMILY" members, should die!

I soon learned through my own self assessment, that MURDERING ANYONE, in retaliation, is NOT WHO I AM! Nor, is this someone, I EVER, want to be! I can't change what has happened, And, neither can ANYONE ELSE!

The bloodshed will never end until we have a collective agreement which denounces violence. I can't change anyone else's thoughts, feelings, and/or perceptions, ONLY, MY OWN.

Today, in this moment, I will heal my heart. I will pray for Peace. I will help where I can.
